OUR STORY
HOW WE MET
It all started in law school...
Mohamad and Lauren would exchange waves and smiles on the 13th floor of the law school library. However, we had never officially met. Fast-forward to the second semester of our 1L year, finals were submitted and a group of friends were gathering to celebrate. It was on this day we had our first conversation (which mostly consisted of summer plans) and we discussed how Lauren would be interning in Chicago over the summer and Mohamad would be interning in Detroit, - so no real plans to hang out. Leave it to Mr. Tokko before we left to say "Hey, we should hang out sometime, let me get your number."
After summer passed by and about 4 text message threads exchanged, it was time for 2L year to begin. Little did we know we would have 3 back-to-back-to-back classes together. It was then in Evidence class we sat next to each other and as they say, the rest is history.
THE FIRST DATE
On a first date the rule is to plan a a romantic and/or thoughtful sequence of events, right? Right! Our first date was spent studying together in a tiny 10x10 law school study room filled with the smell of Chipotle (we walked across the street to grab it for dinner), exchanging giggles, competitively answering practice questions, and ultimately talking smack (as you know, what we do best). It was the intermittent conversations about music, family, sports, and reminiscing about growing up in the midwest that created a connection we both couldn't deny.
THE PROPOSAL
Picture this: You're with the one you love sailing in a private sunset boat along the Amalfi Coast in Italy with the colorful Positano buildings as the backdrop. As golden hour hits (collectively their favorite time of day) "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran started playing over the boat speakers. We looked at each other and talked about how we wanted to remember this moment forever.
Little did Lauren know, the scavenger hunt Mohamad had created before we left Arizona (with an old school heart stamp to check all the various events on our trip) was going to be a pivotal key to his proposal. We both love a picturesque moment and a vibe, so once the famous Positano buildings lit up with a golden hue, Mohamad told Lauren to face the buildings so he could take her photo.
As Lauren turned around and Mohamad snapped some photos he said "Oh wait, there is one more thing on the Scavenger Hunt, check the list. As Lauren grabbed the scavenger hunt list and read the last items on the list. The final item said, "Lauren Alexis Woods WILL YOU MARRY ME?" She looked up and Mohamad was on one knee. Lauren said YES!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like a movie right? Well, that's what happened.

Are Children Welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding weekend is an adult-only event. We want our guests to relax and enjoy a weekend in Cabo. We appreciate you making arrangements so you can celebrate with us.
What is the weather like in Cabo in October?
We have great news! October is considered by many to be the best time of year to visit Cabo – because it’s all about warm temps (in the water and outside) and sunny days.
You’ll find daily high temperatures averaging around 88 F and rarely exceeding an average high of 95 F. So, it’s hot, but not sweltering – perfect for all the outdoor beach and pool festivities!
When the sun sets, the average temperature in Cabo San Lucas in October cools down to a comfortable 70 to 75 F, making it ideal for dining alfresco or a nighttime stroll. We do recommend bringing a light jacket, shawl, or sweater if you tend to get chilly as Los Cabos is located on the Baja California side so the breeze at night can get chilly.
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes! An RSVP is absolutely REQUIRED. This is essential for final headcount. Please RSVP through the provided link on the website.
Can I bring a plus one?
We are keeping our guest count limited to those named on the invitation. When you RSVP, please only list the name(s) on the save the date envelope. If only part of your party can attend, please let us know as soon as possible.
What are the passport requirements?
Please ensure your passport has not expired or will not expire within six months of your flight. The passport renewal process can take up to 10-13 weeks, so please make sure to check your passport as soon as possible so you are not left behind.
